Children are special patients who are treated with TLC at Tri-State Foot and Ankle Center.
Some common conditions affecting children include
- ingrown toenails
- warts
- juvenile bunions
- heel pain or apophysitis
- pain from flat feet
- shin splints
- coalitions
- in-toeing or out-toeing
- sprains, fractures & sports injuries
Many conditions can be treated using painless, non-surgical methods. Minor in-office surgery can be performed on conditions such as warts and ingrown toenails. Gait is analyzed so as to identify and treat problems early. Orthotics (specialized shoe inserts) can be used to alter gait abnormalities and relieve pain caused by structural and positional deformities.
